Project Description: Buckeye Fire Station #3 serves the Verrado Area of Buckeye west of Phoenix and north of Interstate 10. Buckeye was one of three municipalities in Arizona to receive stimulus funds from the American Recovery and Investment Act to allow for the replacement of an aging temporary station. The former station was a Caterpillar heavy equipment facility which was not fully suitable for a fire station in an area which has experienced significant population growth. My role was to define this Fire Station as a State of the Art 'Green' Facility which was designed to be within the Art Deco pallet of classical American fire stations.
